Looks like what Lebrun said about laine was misinterpreted/ delivered. Apparently, what Lebrun meant when he said it would be mutually beneficial was that if laine were to be traded, the agents would like to be involved so that it is mutually beneficial. Hearing about all the trade talk, they apparently reached out to chevy and said they would like to be involved in any trade. Dreger explained that today for anyone wondering where I got that. Dreger also confirmed there is not bad blood between both sides and that laine simply wants to be on the top line consistently.

I was really starting to think that we were going to have a Trouba repeat here.

Here are my lines to give laine what he wants

As a side note, I watched a lukko game of the liiga online the other day (heinolas team) and heinola was dominant in all facets of the game. He’s also gotten bigger from what I can tell. He was noticeable from the moment he got on the ice to the moment he got off. That said, he isn’t exactly sheltered at all on lukko. That’s both a good thing and bad. He gets a lot of opportunity and is in many ways the focal point of that teams defence but that also puts and asterisk next to his production. He won’t have that much opportunity in the nhl, can he stay that productive?. That said, he was productive in his time with the jest last year. The point of saying this was that heinola is ready imo. I don’t see how he won’t be with the jets, unless he has a horrible camp.

As for Samberg, I think he is on the opening night roster or just because he is nhl ready, but because he needs to play. That said, he won’t necessarily be a regular. Rotating in at 2ld with forbort would do him some good. Even if he’s not a regular, count him as a likely part of the taxi squad that the nhl may reportedly allow teams to have

Finally my trades. I like cernak a lot and he woudl be good next to heinola or Samberg. Poolman is also good but cernak has shutdown top pairing upside. Niku on the other hand has offensive top 4 d upside.
