Agreed. I wasn't and am still not super high on Wallmark as a player, but for 950k, there's really no reason not to bring him in as an okay 3C. Just add that to the list of strikeouts we've made this offseason...

Not bringing in a 3C is signing us up for a lottery pick. No one in the org is capable of being a 3C right now. Like I said in another AGM, its even more dire when one of Couture/Hertl inevitably miss a 3-4 weeks of time like they do every year. If we think the 3C situation is bad, imagine when one of those guys has to play 2C.

You just hit the nail on the head. Exactly my thoughts. If we don't go after a real 3C at any point this offseason, I think it's safe to assume any hopes of not being a bottom feeder go out the window. Otherwise, if Couture and Hertl both get hurt and you're probably looking at elite 1C Joel Kellman which is (to say the very least) an absolute nightmare. Haula isn't great on the injury front, but at least he is definitely capable of playing 3C and maybe stepping up to 2C if injuries occur.

And given the injury history of those two players, it's really a huge, huge concern.

Oh yeah for sure. Couture has been relatively healthy as of late minus that one against the Blues, but you never know as he ages. The guy is already 31 which is crazy.

Hertl is the one that scares me more. He is so great when healthy but when he get's injured, it's always a really big and significant one sadly. Massive **** Dustin Brown is obligatory when speaking about this of course.
