to be honest, they could probably get more but they don't really have a lot of bargaining power so I can't see them getting much value back.

Doubt Vancouver can afford Killorn, Detroit would say Yes though don't really want to give up Berggren he's being compared to Viktor Arvidsson and he's looking really good over in Sweden now. Cirelli to Minnesota just makes far too much sense.

yea ik Berggren is a good player, I wanted him to fall to the leafs in the draft a couple years ago, but for Serg I think the wings do this. having a Serg-Sieder top pair soon is crazy good

Sold. In a heartbeat.

Don't think TB takes that though. Think that would have to be a 2nd, at the least, and they'd need a guy like McIsaac or Tuo going back.

Well, I see what you mean but GMs aren't going to sit there and let themselves get fleeced this bad. Something's gotta give for them too.

Most of these teams will take those trades with TB, as long as they have cap room. Unfortunately, Vancouver does not. I like Killorn, but just can't afford him.

It is interesting to see what TB realistically needs to do in order to get their head below the cap though. I think that Cernak goes for north of $2.5M, if not north of $3M, or someone is going to offer sheet that kid. It would be a big blow to lose Sergachev too, you can see the future of TB being threatened here.

yea I undervalued a bit because Tampa's the one that needs to be under the cap, so they have limited bargaining power. should probably be a bit more though

I wonder though, what’s JBB gonna do if the other teams hold fast? He’s gotta be cap compliant.

I think I’d do that for the Red Wings. Berggren’s gonna be a stud and Fabbri is a good player for us but Sergwchev is too good to pass up on.

Probably get a little desperate in cap dumps.

Other GMs have no reason to help JBB. My guess is JBB just QOs the trio and they move on to next year, which is when things get super spicy. If the trio decides to hold out, he may have to make a move like these but we will see. There just isn’t cap space elsewhere to take on Johnson or Killhorn.
