You can not trade Mikheyev!!! He gets his arb deal and you can accept and keep him for 1 year or you can decline and he is ufa.

Yeah I'd rather trade Mikheyev and Holl to Columbus. See if we can upgrade Holl for a D-man like Savard maybe! Mikheyev is good but replaceable especially for this team

since Mikheyev initiated arbitration, we get to pick the term and have the right to decline the award. I really can't imagine him getting anything, he literally has ZERO precedent, and in 39 games with no prior seasons of experience, you can't give him a tangible amount of money

If his award is too high, we can just let him become a UFA, we aren't stuck with him if it is too high. I think the leafs prepared for that by acquiring so much depth.
