Why would Anaheim deal Lindholm and Rakell for basically 2 years of johnny Gaudreau and Noah Hanifin? Noway is Murray dealing Lindholm for basically 2 years of Gaudreau who will walk to Philly. Doesn't make much sense for Anaheim.

That wasnt a protection list, it was a list of all the Swedes on the roster

You do realize that Rakell and Lindholm are both free agents in 2 years as well and they could leave just as easily as Johnny, the most long term signed player in this trade is Hanifin whos younger than Lindholm and has a smaller cap hit. This is a stupid trade from the Flames perspective.
