Description
Forward lines-
Line 1- Grigorenko, PLD and Bjorkstrand - easy top line, let’s see how Grigorenko plays up with Columbus 2 best forwards.
Line 2- Nyquist, Domi and Atkinson- solid 2 way second line could be a good offensive line if all 3 work well together.
Line 3- Texier, Koivu, Bremstrom - let the vet mentor the young kids, koivu is solid defensively and let Texier and Bremstrom produce the offense on that line.
Line 4- really this line is any mix of Stenlund, Robinson, Jenner, Nash and Folingo. This is your rough grinder line that’s heavy on the forcheck.

Defensive pairs-
Pair 1- Werenski and Jones- typical don’t see that changing unless someone is hurt
Pair 2- Gavrikov and Savard - shutdown defensive pair, both good a blocking shots, hopefully some offensive numbers will come back for both of these 2.
Pair 3- Carlsson, Kukan, Peeke - the 3 young guys, rotate their playing time, Kukan can play both sides so that shouldn’t be an issue.

Goalies- Merzlinkins and Korpisalo - Columbus doesn’t have to move either of them unless they want to, but they seem to be a good goalie pair. Let’s see how year 2 goes after both had good stretches of play in year 1.

I mean, given the reality of the Torts line blender, I imagine we'll see something resembling this at some point this year. But Koivu was explicitly signed to allow Jenner to move back to the wing. I'd sooner expect Jenner - Nash - Foligno on that fourth line. And Torts has said he's expecting to run Tex - Dubois - Bjorkstrand on the top line. I think it's expecting rather a lot of Grigorenko that we'd put him up top despite not playing in the NHL for years now. He's a complete wild card. Your defensive pairs are dead-on, and accurate. (I do think Gav signs for something like 2x2.5, and Dubois for 3x6.5.)

And I suspect Harrington will be up, Carlsson will be in the AHL (two-way contract and all), and so will Stenlund (moved there before waivers kick in). And everything I'm hearing suggests that McConnell isn't gonna let us use LTIR, so we'll need to find a way to squeeze Dubi's contract in on regular IR or trade him.

Based on last year, Texier should (hopefully) start on the top line LW with Dubois & Bjorkstrand.
Jenner will be 3C with Koivu & Bemstrom
Foligno will be 4LW with Grigorenko 4C & Nash 4LW

Torts really likes Foudy, so he may come up and Bemstrom sent to Cleveland since he is still on a two-way (and he would probably be the 1st call up if needed).
