You would need to pay huge to get a top five centre. Be honest, you’ve made offers like this for eichel and you’d pay this for Drai. Matthews is in the middle of the two so....

Leafs aren't trading Matthews. But they should seriously consider this deal. The value is there.

this is not a hockey trade, it is a pillage.

Completely agree.. all teams say NO in this thread. Leafs are in their window and 4 years left till AM walks? Rangers would look great with AM but but parting with that many high level prospects and picks isn’t ideal. If this deal could be done it would have been done with BUF.. aside from all that... the cap doesn’t work this this trade needs more thought before being proposed

not to mention, the Rangers cannot afford this.
