One of the better offers for Laine I’ve seen. That PP1 should be illegal.

If the Jets trade Laine for some reason, it'll be for a solidified top 4 dman with top pairing potential, or for a solid top 6 winger and picks. You've offered them neither. Winnipeg is still trying to contend, they don't need prospects

i dont like comments like these. Weegar is a solid top 4dman, Tippett is an NHL ready prospect. Sourdif and the 1st and Keeper are future solid pieces. But dont act like its all futures, thats 2 guys that are coming into your lineup right away and another 2-3 in the next few years. So its not all futures. Its a very solid package

You provided Winnipeg with nothing substantial, Chevy wants a 2C same thing Florida needs and a Top 4 LD/RD potential future top pairing and you provide them with none. That's a terrible offer for Laine. And Winnipeg declines.

Weegar and Tippett don't get you anywhere near Laine though.... You need a bonified top 6 player, Tippett isn't that yet. And if you think Weegar is good enough to be the main piece in a Laine trade, I don't even know what to say. Quality not quantity

Chevy can keep dreaming. Youre telling me he wants the equivalent of Sergachev + Cirelli? LOL, hes also not getting any of Provorov, Theodore , Werenski, Ekblad etc in a 1 for 1 situation either

Way to blow it out of proportion. There's a massive gap between Sergachev + Cirelli and Weegar and Tippett. Nobody said Sergachev or Cirelli, Just significantly better than Weegar, lol

well lets say it starts with Pesce. I guarantee you there wont be much added from Carolina. Maybe Bokk and a 2nd if that.

And if thats all Chevy gets offered, so be it, he'll just keep laine. Nobody is in a hurry to trade a 6'4" 22 year older winger with 50 goal potential

Are you really comparing Cirelli and Sergachev to Tippett and Weeger? Because from the sound of things it sounds like to me that you're. While you may not like what we've to say the OP doesn't come close to getting Patrik Laine Weegers numbers aren't Top 4 caliber and Tippett has done nothing to suggest that he's a piece that should be moved to acquire Patrik Laine. It's a bad offer for Laine no matter how you slice it.

Fair enough! Weegar has shown to be fantastic! Although I think Winnipeg is really happy with getting back their 2C in Dubois
