Then the Cats don’t answer....Jets have already called on Weegar so the trade will center around him

Jets will not trade Laine for a trade centered around Weegar. Ekblad would have to be part of the deal but the cats don’t add a 1st. Tinkering on both sides. Was thinking something more, Laine and Pionk for Ekblad and Vatrano

Pretty sure that call was based on Roslo, not Laine.

Roslovic was part of a trade but not the main piece

Well Weegar as the main isn’t enough for Laine. I could see it being part of a bigger deal but not sure what.

Jets thought they were get a haul with Trouba and after 3 yrs got a prospect and a pick. Same thing will happen here, Laine doesn’t want to be there and will walk when he gets a chance. Jets will end up trading his rights just like Trouba. Then fans will complain that he should have traded him when they had a chance. Not saying a deal centering around Weegar, high end prospect and a first gets him but The Flyers aren’t willing to let go of the main piece they want and the second closest team is Florida. Chevy is in a tough spot for sure.
