Why always adding 2 fourth liners to get a 3rd liner
That’s not how it works
They are cheap, you always said they are good ( not you but Sharks fans in general ), so keep them !

Sorenson has traditionally played 3LW. Im just trying to find a replacement 3C that would fit well on this roster.

I've seen plenty of NJ fans trading away Zacha for solely a 3rd. I don't think that a 3rd alone is anywhere near enough for him. I've also seen some recently posting Sorenson for Carrick. Figured if Jersey is looking for LW help, and Sharks needing a 3C, it has some sense to it. Threw in Gambrell as a prospect with the note of swapping the pick or prospect if needed.

If NJ really want Sorensens, they just have to throw a 4th to get him and keep Zacha

If any of us has said those two are good they were lying. Sorenson is a serviceable 3LW but we have tons of those in the wings and don’t need him. Gambrell has some potential but needs a change of scenery imo

I’ve said over and over Sorenson is a good player and we should keep him!!!
He is the type of player similar to Melker Karlsson And Goodrow who are only seen as valuable after they are gone and you see the things he did that previously went unnoticed.
Yes we have a ton of bottom 6 prospects but Sorenson is proven and a really good Pk guy. Everyone bashed on Melker and are bashing on Sorenson but both are valuable good guys who fill a need on a team well.
Gambrel I would trade for a 6 pack and a bottle of whiskey to be named later. Lol

Melker Karlsson was not good. He was good at the pk and thats literally it. His offense was a black hole and we are better without him

Scouts and Coaching staffs would disagree with us.
I say us because I hated Melker... but coaches loved him, his teammates loved him he was good on the PK solid defensive forward and was selfless. There are parts of his game we will miss but I’m glad he isn’t here as his spot is now going to go to a prospect with better upside!

Or maybe it was just San Jose scouts and coaching staff since no one picked him up!

Peter Deboer loved him a lot, but Pete was always known to hate playing young guys and giving worse older guys the opportunities
