Lindholm is almost untouchable so you would need to give us a better package than that

Well I'm basing it off his value. I know how important he is to Calgary but put the soft spot aside, is the value good?

Its not good value as it is because Flames have no interest in Strome due to the fact that hes an RFA, coming off an anomaly year where he was playing with a Hart trophy candidate, and is most likely looking for roughly the same contract as Lindholm has currently. If you replace him with someone more substantial the value at that point may be more equal.

This would be an amazing addition for the rangers, but i dont think they would want to pay the price it would take to get him.

Who would you prefer? Why is Strome the issue? He can easily be flipped or used as a an extra C if Backlund falls off.

I don't see any team trading for Kreider with his contract in a flat cap era.

This price? I'm sure they would. They need a C like Lindholm more than anything.

I just explained why Strome is the issue, if you are trading Lindholm you expect to get someone back who will play for you why would you get him just to flip him. Im not sure who else I would prefer honestly Chytil possibly, maybe even Tony DeAngelo. Either way its gonna be someone the Rangers wouldnt want to part with.

I'll do Tony if you want. Buch can step in for Lindholm.

Kreider is not getting traded, he will play on the 3rd line. Secondly he has a NTC.

especially with a NMC. Then again, can't really blame the management because I dont think they expected to get Lafreniere.

A trade for Elias not gonna work for expendible players. Management will not trade Schneider considering how excited they were to get him at the draft. Youd likely have to start the trade with Chytil and likely one of our top D prospects. You want a stud 25yo center, you gonna have to pay for it.

We have a better shot getting Cirelli or Toews I think.

I don't want anything to do with Toews. Cirelli is an interesting target.

If Chicago retains atleast 33%, Id happily take Toews. The cost to us doesnt seem that significant based on what non-Rangers people have said to many of the faux trades posted.

No interest in Toews unless the price is minuscule and I know there's no chance of that. Stay away from him. Such a "Rangers" target that we all know how it ends.

Thats one trade, call me a romantic, I see in the light of Messier-esque. This team doesnt have a captain, doesnt have a bonafide leader although Zib is pretty close there. Toews may be the kind of leader that can really help the kids find their game. Reunite him with Panarin.

Strome, one of our D prospects not named Miller, Lundkvist and Schneider, and a top 10 protected first. Something like that.

    How about this?
    Chicago Blackhawks
    - C Ryan Strome
    - LHD Zac Jones
    - RW Lauri Pajuniemi
    - 2021 1st-round pick
    New York Rangers
    - C Jonathan Toews

3m retained. Yep, thats a trade I can live with. Initially I didnt want to trade Jones but **** it cant keep every good prospect we draft.

Sure but falls under the same depth of prospects and good drafting weve done. Now we gotta flip some of the goods to fill needs and get us to a cup.
