Initial Creation Date: Oct. 21, 2020
Published: Oct. 21, 2020

Description
No, Doug Armstrong would never do all this. But it's fun to dream about what's possible. This team would be much harder to play against, IMHO.

I mean, GMDA would do that WIN deal. Only issue being that GMKC laughs big time. Same goes for that PHI trade, GMCF would hang up

Might be a decent deal for isles, they could use some 3rd liners who can put the puck in the net

That is a no from the Isles, have way too many bottom 6 forwards already and cannot afford the cap increase in the trade.

If you take more salary from NYI (Komarov, Hickey) and change Barbashev to Bortuzzo and a 3rd you have a deal.

Probably. But Dunn and Faulk both have value, Kyrou is a top prospect for the Blues, and a first round pick (probably a late one) is still a first round pick. Bozak's contract isn't appealing, but it's up after this year, and he's very under-rated.
Again, not suggesting they're perfect deals, or that they're likely to ever occur.

Nah, this team would be easier to play against by a good margin. They might just win a lot anyway, but this team isn't as taxing in the dirty areas. And that Hoffman deal is just baaaad. He's not worth his offense, let alone in a system like the Blues'.

I'm so sorry! Did I post something you didn't like? That must be so hard for you. I apologize for exposing you to a distasteful idea. I didn't realize we had special posters among us. But that's no excuse for my insensitivity. tears of joy

Really just seeing how many deals I could swing while keeping them under the cap.

...although, in the proposed deals, Blues are only giving up Dunn, Bozak, Faulk, Kyrou, Barbashev, Sanford and picks. Of those players, only Sanford could be described as "hard to play against". It's depth for an upgrade in talent. I think teams are looking for as much depth as they can squeeze in right now given revenue constraints and a stagnant cap.

Nah, I was gonna say when you get flamed by everyone for these terrible offers, that the Blues fans on here don’t claim you, but it looks like everyone just decided to ignore you anyway.

All three of them? Imagine my sadness.

For the record, I started the thread with a pretty clear disclaimer.

In any case, I don't take myself seriously enough to spell it out to you--I just happen to be bored right now.

I very rarely post here. Do you come here often? Contribute much, or do you just look for people to flame? Get a shot of adrenaline from being rude? What's your excuse for hanging out on an internet hockey forum to pick fights? What, exactly, are you compensating for?

Nevermind. I don't really care.

Bozak and Barby are very hard to play against, as is Faulk when the mood suits him. Kyrou is a different type of hard to play against because of his crazy skating. And the top two main pieces added are loafers. So... yeah. Big culture shift.

As a Blues fan who follows the Flyers, I totally understand why you'd want to add Konecny. There's no chance in hell that Philly trades him for anything less than an overpayment though.
