Way better team than last year. This team should be good.

Looks good.

I still think they might want to bridge Dubois now for 3 to put him past the Werenski/Jones contract re-negotiations.
This would probably be around $6.5M, which would make his next contract much higher (just look at Bob's contract at $7.4M and he wanted ((and got)) $10M on his next).

I think Dubois might want to just sign his long term deal now.
This would put him still in his prime at 29 when it expires.
I am guessing his long term deal would probably have to start with an 8, say $8M x 8 or $8.25M x 8. That would probably do it.
Jarmo is probably waiting to see what Barzal signs for, and using that as a benchmark (on the high side, since Barzal's numbers are slightly better than Dubois').

Probably. and hopefully more scoring.
But will Dubois & Domi be the next McDavid/Draisatl or Crosby/Malkin??? Probably not.

They won’t, but still be good. Huge upgrades!

1. Grig is going to play, at least at first. We promised him a slot to get him to sign.
2. We're not gonna be using LTIR. McConnell isn't gonna let Jarmo get into that. (Also, we could just put Dubi on regular IR and still squeeze under the cap in the scenario you've laid out.)
3. Otherwise looks pretty good!

I could see Koivu splitting time with Nash at 4C.
Especially when injuries arise, and they usually do.
This is probably the most (quality) depth they have had at center (Dubois, Domi, Grigorenko, Nash, Jenner, & Koivu; with Texier and Foudy on the horizon...when they're ready)
