I’d be interested to hear what projections are for the two prospects. They look promising but for Toews it’s gotta be more of a hit that a hope.

For the rangers to make it work it would have to be something like strome, Buch, 1st (top 10 protected) for toews (3mil retained)

They are allowed to go over for a certain percentage, so it is not as bad as you are saying. They would have to find a taker for Smith and Lemeuix for this to work. Also, not signing Martin would help too.

You should research how bonuses affect the salary cap before saying this. Capfriendly takes all this math into consideration in their numbers.

Your not thinking abt signing Laf, Kakko and shesty in the future. So it wouldn’t work for the future plans. Also Mika is gunna get payed big so we can’t afford him man

The numbers are all there at the top, we have around 1m in cap space with 3 guys on HS. Its all calculated for you dont over think it.

HA, youre comparing Adam Fox to Zach Jones? Continue smoking whatever it is you got. Im not the one trying to justify how Zach Jones is similar in value to Alex Turcotte.

Zac Jones is playing like a A- prospect currently, almost having the same NCAA points as Turcotte this season as a defenseman

That is you right? Ok. Just checking. Reading seems to be doing just fine.

So points and value are now the same thing? If I valued jones the same as Turcotte why didn’t I just posted them one for one?
At least I’m not predicting Fox to be a top-10 NHL defenseman in the future which is BOLD

I believe the word I used was "potential", and yes hes showing hes got all the tools to be exactly that, will it happen I dont know, thats why I say potential.

So packaging Jones with Kravtsov (who, I think could be pretty good but has failed to this point at a North American pro level) is the kicker to get Turcotte? Come on.

Everyone has “potential” but even with Fox incredible first NHL season, top-10 is franchise level potential which as much as I would like to, don’t see Fox have!

Kravtsov is still a A-level prospect despite AHL struggle (many seems to struggle in Hartford so I feel it’s more the organization rather then players)
It’s easier to rate North American players as the better prospects when they shine against their own piers while Europeans goes against full grown men

I wanna use one example, Raphael Lavoie. Couldn’t crack the SHL roster with Rögle and is currently playing in Swedish 2nd tier with Väsby (bottom team)

The point i wanna make here is that put Europeans and North Americans against the same opponents and players like Kravtsov would be closer in value among fans to North American prospects like Turcotte

Now don’t take this as me saying Kravtsov is worth Turcotte alone, repeat: Kravtsov is not worth Turcotte alone!
