It would suck if a rebuilding team had not first round picks for two years

Kings aren't taking on another 8-figure contract. Chicago would need to retain $2M.

If the best we can get for Kane is a second and Iafallo ill off myself. Horrible trades for Hawks except for seabs which wont happen. On brand with what Stan is doing so well done.

I've said this in multiple Chicago ACGM's but realistically Toews would only waive for Winnipeg or Buffalo and Kane would only waive for Buffalo. Value wise it's there but there's no way they'd waive for trades like that.

Every trade here favors the other team. And trading picks as a rebuilding team is insane

Well is he going to be our first line center
No, McDavid is
Is he going to be our second line center
No Drai is
Is he going to be our thrid line center
No we just signed Turris for that job, Right shot and Have Nuge for a back up
So is he going to be our fourth line center
Khaira is that and he is the PK beast

So maybe this trade is totally crazy and will never work
Try Winnipeg or Columbus who needs centers.

I don't think the tie with Kane to Buffalo is as strong as people think. He hasn't exactly had the best experiences there the last decade. He sold his house there even. He pretty much cut off all ties other than his parents there. And I don't get the logic of Toews to buffalo at all.

Not a player in the league that would waive their nmc for buffalo. Kane included

$ isnt the point. The trade doesnt make sense for oilers at all 100% agreed Mcjesus and Drai are a strong 1-2 down the middle, but you said even if toews was in the lineup youd play Turris over him.

Columbus no longer needs centers (Dubois, Domi, Koivu, Nash, Grigorenko, Jenner in a pinch). We need a top-flight LW.

The Detroit trade makes no sense. First Detroit isn't going to give up 2 picks for a 37yr old defenseman because they are rebuilding. If you want a positive return for Keith it's going to be to a playoff team or a team on the cusp of being a playoff team. Not a team that's 2 or 3 years from the playoffs. Keith isn't waiving for Detroit anyways. If Chicago really does go in to a full rebuild Keith might decide to retire he has had a great career 3 Stanley Cups, 2 Norris Trophies and a Conn Smyth trophy. That brings me to my last point you don't ship a player like Keith to the worst team in the league to finish his career.

Your original post says "we dont need a 4th line center" implying theres another center in your org better than toews since you said Turris is your 3C...The money is a great reason not to do it but its not the first issue you brought up. It was just a bad take imo, Turris is great for you guys at 3C but come on would you rather have a 1C playing 3C or a 3C playing 3C?

Money wise, I would rather have Turris and contract wise I would rather have Turris. This is the worst trade I have ever seen on here and if you are the Gm of the oilers, you can do the deal. Me never, I will stick with Turris and his 12 minutes of ice time per game.
