Description
I think this is as close to best case scenario as it gets.

I like the trade for both Ottawa and Tampa. I like the Buffalo trade for both teams also. The Detroit trade also makes full sense.

Perry signs for league min.

This team is set up nicely in the short and the long term.

Would Jokiharju work instead of Cozens and Miller? I dont know if the Perry deal would work so soon after this post season. Perry has a ton of bad blood with most of this roster. It's like If Maroon signed in Boston after the StLouis cup win.

I made a trade with Jokiharju yesterday. I like this option for both teams also.

Players have short memories. They would gladly unite. They go to war, leave it all out there and then they make amends. If they hated playing against Perry, it just means they will love to have him on their team.

The Detroit deal does not add up. I think if Johnson had two years remaining at his current AAV that could work maybe just the first. But at 30 and already showing signs of wear (common with the style of hockey he plays) the fact that he has 4 years remaining at that AAV is a massive problem. It is more that fact then any why no team took him off waivers. He can still be a productive if over paid player for the next year or two, but the last two years are simple scary. I can not see the Red Wings agreeing to take his contract on unless they get two high end pieces back (hell he signed longer term then Larkin)

The Lightning are not going to want to meet the price that the Red Wings are likely to ask for, and its not the player nor the cap hit that the cause, but the term that holds it back. The Red Wings are just starting to get out from a lot of long term deals that handicapped them for a time, and are not going to be looking to return to that situation in a hurry.

It doesnt work, thats 95k in space, still need at least one more player up in the NHL. We have a bonus overage of 1.4 million that needs to be in the cap, and Olofsson is going to get more many than that.

Killorn is gone and if Johnson is traded as well, Then Cirelli and Sergachev stay it's that simple.

Just NO .. Johnson and either Gourde or Killorn will be traded .. or Stamkos to LTIR (easy one) .. ZERO chance Serg and Cirelli go for your non Tampa fans
