Buying out Paul Byron's contract next offseason will save the Canadiens a lot on the cap, so I could see that happening.
Brett Kulak will be traded whether its this offseason or next.

Additional Details:
Montreal likely loses Ben Chiarot to Seattle, Chiarot has preformed very well in Montreal, but with only 1 year left on his deal, Montreal will likely choose to protect Edmundson. Seattle could choose Jake Allen, but Seattle will likely have better options in net, such as Holtby, or Khudobin.

This is a strong team on paper. Now, go beat Toronto a bunch so the rest of the league can laugh.

It look good cap wise for 2021-2022... but after you have Suz & Romanov to sign... or simply bring down Toffoli 2LW and indert Lehky 3rd LW Shut Down line with Danault

I think that's probably the better idea as well, just was seeing if it was possible for next year, I think letting Tatar go, resign Danault and hoping Caufield / Poehling can help soften the blow of losing Tatar's scoring.

There is nothing wrong with the selection of players, I just had a few notes.

1. Juulsen won't be played on the left side over Mete. Therefore the most likely 3rd pairing is Mete-Juulsen with Fleury as the 7th D man or in the AHL with Ouellet as the 7th.
2. Why sign Gagner? we could bring up Belzile, Yelonen, Vejdemo or Dauphin as a 13th forward
3. The next offseason we will have 5 Mil in cap space with Suzuki, Evans, Romanov and Juulsen to resign. Suzuki alone likely takes up that entire 5 Mil so we would then have to move some of Lehkonen, Anderson, Taffoli, Edmondson, Poehling or Danault to make space and would once again be trading from a position of weakness. Best option is to not sign one of Tatar or Danault. Depending on Danault's position on playing 3rd line center I would prefer to keep him.

Juulsen when healthy is simply better than Mete, as someone who watches every Montreal game, Mete gives me headaches, and I agree it's not in Montreal's best interest to keep both, just seeing if it was possible. Ganger is a good veteran presence that would be more reliable then the guys you mentioned, and you don't want to keep Ylonen as a 13th forward, he's best to get playing time in Laval.

Choosing between listening to hardcore Leafs fan brag, or hardcore Habs fans brag is like being given the choice between having your finger nails pulled out, or having your toenails pulled out. Neither sounds super pleasant tears of joy

Oh don't get me wrong, I love Juulsen and Fleury but with Juulsen's injuries the last 2 seasons I don't think CJ will play him over Mete. Maybe with Mete but not over Mete

And the Leafs have? They’re still getting beaten in the 1st round every year lol yet they have the audacity to insult the sharks after bad injury riddled season despite the sharks having ten times the success as a franchise in the last 2 decades

Habs fans here at least come off as a more mature group despite a few wankers.
