We can only go over the cap by 6.1M in bonuses. So cap hit + bonuses max at 87.6M. You need to open up 4M in space for this to work.

Other thing is we would have to add future to that trade for the hawks to make the deal so picks. Kane has unfortunately said he won’t waive as well as Toews.. 😒 Kane would be filthy in ny.

If next year was a deeper draft id say Chicago could get a stack of 1sts for Toews kane and Strome. But its not looking too impressive. Id just keep Toews and Kane.

I mean I guess but half of these proposals are just insulting lol.

I just saw one that was Okposo, Mittelstadt, Portillo, Montour and a 1st for Kane and a 3rd round pick.

Honestly, I don't even know if that's a fair trade if you remove Kane.

You start with Smith money to start off... that alone should bring you in 2 years afetr this one where Kane come off the book... it's all good and crazy insane...
or trade Kreider for Monahan... or get something else cheap like Staal, Brassard, Koivu for one year... Panarin with Kane... both 100pts guy!

If we were cup contenders now. I’m all for it but we’ll have to wait 2-4 years to be cup contenders so

Doesn't hurt your core or your 3 future elite player in Laffy, Kravs, Miller... so future will still be bright and in 3 years Kane is gone for something else after winning 2 cup with the Blueshirt
