MTL say no to both. They have 0 need for Keith especially not for 2 of their young D's and as much as I love kane, MTL is trending towards getting younger....Primeau is hopefully going to be price's replacement so they won't trade him.
Also if CHI is rebuilding they won't want 2 players over 26 years old for Patty Kane, it would start with one of Caufield, Romanov, KK or Suzuki and habs won't do that.
OTT says no as well...they're over the cap floor now so they have no need to take an aging D.

Lots of things to unpack here:

- Can't retain on more than 3 contracts (you have 5).
- Toews, Kane, Keith and Seabrook probably can't be moved with they contracts. All of these teams will say no. The only one that has tremendous value and will get a haul is Kane. Even then, it's tremendously hard to move a cap hit of 10.5 million.
- Wouldn't offersheet anyone if you're rebuilding because your pick will be in the top 10.

I don't hate getting Duncan Keith at the right price, but I wouldn't give anything close to that for Kane. Actually, I wouldn't bother with Kane as it would blow out the salary structure.

If you don't like the price then cool but we aren't trading you Patrick Kane for this

I like keith, I always have but I wouldn't give what this guy suggested and also taking on keith takes away a roster spot from one of our young D for 3 years so I rather not.yeah MTL can't be taking on that Kaner contract! not with the young guys they will have to pay eventually.

And the Habs wouldnt give Suzuki up in any trade for Kane

I mean you guys are the ones creating all these Kane-Montreal trades and every Hawks fan has made it clear that we aren't interested. So instead of trying to critique our players into "convincing people that it's fair value", go find another 100 point player to trade for because we aren't interested.
