I don't have a good feel for Kanes trade value, but he is a lot better than Laine

don't see why Winnipeg should add. Laine is not Kane, but Laine is a full decade younger.

why because who is a Star player who fetch 100pts a year... not Laine even if he is insane scorer with a ton of value... but he is not Kane, or Malkin or, etc...

Yeah so Chevy trades a 22 year old for a 32 year old making $10.5 million for another 3 years. Kane isn't going to be a difference maker over the next 3 seasons for Winnipeg.

I don't love the trade because I'm not a huge fan of Laine. Maybe if Laine realizes he's not worth 10M and signs for 8

I'm not sure if WIN is in a "win now" situation, but if they are that might be a good trade for both teams. CHI is looking at getting younger for sure, WIN adds elite franchise talent that they simply do not have in their team.
