Perfect signing. They needed cheap depth and Simon, although not flashy in any way, is a more than capable player.

put him in the top 6 and there will be flash. This guy is a playmaker and can drive play extremely well. sadly in the bottom 6 he disappears

Smart cheap move for Calgary and for a player who was clueless as to how much money he was worth in Pittsburgh. Crosby did the work bud. If you would have actually scored and not hit the goalie in the chest every time you would be worth more. Good move for both the player and the team.

Great low-key signing by CGY, as a Pens fan here, I liked Dom but everyone mocks Simon in PIT.

But when Sidney Crosby calls u 1 of the top 3 skilled players on team.... Im thinking there is something there???

Dom is a heck of a 2-way player that has a great hockey IQ & can play on 1st to 4th line but he needs to do wrist curls bc he has no shot.

Simon has the skill, has the grit and works hard... It just always didn't go in his favour.

Big steal. I wish Pittsburgh could have kept him. I've watched him play alot and he could easily become a top 6 threat to any team.

Nice player and deal for Calgary. Hope he doesn't become another TK and be gone from the league in a couple years after leaving the Pens.
