The top line isnt bad. the bottom line isnt that bad. The middle is ehhhhhhhhh. Also doug wilson has a type, and his type is signing large defenders to play the third pairing. Would you all be happy if the Sharks rolled out this roster on opening night?

Jan Rutta would be a better option for 3RD IMO and you can probably get him at the same price.

Also, you probably want find a way to upgrade 3RW.

I'd be very upset but it's a likely roster 😞

San Jose has a strange depth chart, it really drops off after top 5 forwards and top 3 d and they have really weak goaltending. Donato and Dubnyk will definitely help but as you showed here they still need help. There is an abundance of good 3rd line players who I'm surprised they haven't targeted yet (e.i. most Montreal forwards).

I agree totally, but the realism side of it, Wilson loves a cheap physical large 3rd pairing guy. We don't have all that much money, I think Nieto will be adequate for 3rd line.

Everyone gets mad if I trade for Armia even though he'd play 4th line unless they move Toffoli, Gally, or Anderson to their off side. Yeah but third line guys possibly: AA, Galch, then Perry, Ilya, etc. I value Granlund higher than all them.

His offensive upside makes his the 3rd best center on the team. I'd rather have him than Kellman True Suomella or Gambrell starting.

You need a 2way player at 3C not a skill guy that consistently underachieves.

Dubnyk will help but but they will still need help. I think he can play better than Dell and Jones, right?

I mean I could be wrong, but I expect Dubnyk (.890 in 2019-20) to be considerably worse than Dell. (.907 in 2019-20) next year. Maybe even worse than Jones (.896). Dubnyk was worse than Jones and Dell last year in SV% and GSAA AND he was behind a much more solid defensive system with Minnesota. I really do hope he can play better than last years tandem, I'm just not holding out too much hope.

When he's on his game he can be a pretty solid goalie. Hopefully this change of scenery can spark that Dubnyk to come out and start playing.
