And It cause you don’t know who N.Legare is and that M.Pettersson is 24 years old, a top 4 D, had 25 points in 2018-19 in 80 games and 22 points last year in 69 games. And Played 20 minutes a game. Edmonton needs another top 4 D-man and Puljujarvi wants out. ZAR is 26 years old, a top defensive winger in the NHL and has scoring potential. Jones is just a depth LHD. And a 2nd round pick.

SO, 2 NHL roster players: a 24 year old, top 4 D-man, signed long-term on good deal, A 26 year old, top defensive winger and also signed to really god deal. A Top Prospect close to NHL ready and a 2nd round pick.

What do you think Puljujarvi potential is? I know he wants out of Edmonton. A 4th overall pick in 2016, a scoring winger. I think he’s worth it. Especially with PO Joseph in the wings.

I think oilers decline.

The value is fine but we need Jones because Klef is out and I think Holland would’ve traded Pulju by now if he was going to be flipped.

Does either team want to do this??? Edmonton really won't like giving up jones. Pittsburg is already super low on draft picks and why would they want to lose Pettersson

I think so too. Pettersson and Bear is your 2nd D-pairing for years to come. And Edmonton will love Z.A.R.. Great Defense(top defensive winger in the league last year according to the metrics). And he can score goals too. He will be your 4th line, PK killer, for years to come. Legare is almost NHL ready, a RW, right-handed shot, great shot, 6’1, 208 pounds, Pens traded up in the 3rd round to get him. He was a top 50 prospect going into the draft. If anyone would google him and/or Pens top prospects and read about them, they would see his potential.

I never said you did..lol. I said he wanted out of Edmonton. Which he does. Says the reports. Has asked for a trade.

And this helps Edmonton out now and in the future with a top 4 D-man and ZAR now and Legare and the 2nd round pick for the future

I think when the Pens traded for Matheson we left no room for our top LHD prospect in PO-Joseph. Who by all accounts in NHL ready. Or very close. So Pettersson, even though thought of very highly, a big part of our defense, and young-just signed to a long-term, reasonable deal, has value and is alittle more expendable than anyone else w/ PO Joseph’s potential.

And Puljujarvi asked for a trade in Edmonton. He wants out.

I had no clue C.Jones was thought of highly in Edmonton. I thought he was just a depth LHD. Being young, but being a late 4th round pick and not getting much NHL time. Definitely not seen as a top 4 Defenseman though? Right?

That’s not at all true! Haha. He’s staying, there’s a reason why he said “never say never”, and signed a contract.

Would it be better if it was J.Puljujarvi and William Lagesson instead of Caleb Jones. Puljujarvi was obviously the get here. Jones was just a throw-in to me, in-case, the Pens top LHD prospect isn’t quite ready and we need a place holder until next year. Which I think the Pens organization thinks J.Riikoli is an every day LHD. But moving him up would lose our 7th D-man, which is what I thought i’d be replacing with C.Jones. Actually, Kris Russell and Puljujarvi was my 1st thought but I guess K.Russell retired this year.

Lol. I’ll admit I havnt recently heard anything. But the last I did hear he wanted out. I hope he lives up to the Potential my man. If he does, he would be a great addition to a McDavid or Draisiatl line. So would Legare next season though too. And Pettersson and Z.A.R sure up your defense and 4th line now, 2 already proven players.

Ahh, I disagree?? Why would u say that? He scored 23 goals and 54 points last year with Karpat. He was just holding out from Edmonton. I guess we will really see this year. I think the Pens and every other team are gonna make a mistake not making A play for him when he wanted traded and out of Edmonton.

yeah multiple pro GMs also ripped his play in Karpat to pieces. He never learned how to play pro hockey at the NHL level. He wants to skate east west and play like a minor leaguer which is exactly where he's going to end up.

I never heard that. Interesting. He did pretty well from what I remember in the couple games he played for Edmonton. I think he scored in his 1st game for them. Defiantly made the team out of his 1st camp in 2016. Although most 4th overall picks tend too. And he had acouple multi-point games for them. Like I said, from what I remember, he didn’t play bad. Just had problems and differences with the coaches. Which is understandable from a young-superstar. Sometimes they need that tough love and need something taken away to be put back on track. Just every team doesn’t publicize it w/ their young top prospect.

I respect your opinion I do, but I will have to disagree. I just rather Puljujarvi, and I really like him, that’s all.

I understand..me too. Lol. That’s why I think we should give up so much for him. I think the Pens and many Teams are gonna be mad they didn’t make a play for him when he wanted out of Edmonton. And asked for a trade and probably was on the block.

But if he has a bad year this year. His value is gonna go way, way down.

jones can play the right side so he's an improvement over the pylon named ceci
As an oilers, i see this as a big overpayment. The only problem I have with this is how they are gonna fit it under the cap

Sullivan hates putting left-handed shots on the right side. Old school coach.

J.Riikola has played RHD too. But for the Pens. Nope. Stays of the Left side. And the Pens organization thinks really highly of him from everything that’s put out. They think he’s a future top 4 D. But on the Left-side..lol. Even though, he’s played the Right-side in all his other stops and supposedly plays it well.
