    Why would you spend all that money/term on fine-at-best-usually-very-meh-or-outright-bad players like Hoffman, Vatanen, and Hamonic whose options are exceedingly limited right now especially knowing you have to re-sign Hughes and Pettersson next year? An 8 million dollar third pair, my god. Just keep Eriksson and save yourself the pick + two million bucks.

    You're going to have to pay someone to take Sutter. It's not going to be cheap in this market.

    What happens next year when Hoffman, Vatanen, and Hamonic are taking up almost 15m in cap space and the Canucks can't resign Petey, Hughes, or Demko

    Also it cost a 1st and 7th for someone to take on 6mil of Loui, but only a 7th for the kings getting stuck with 5mil of Sutter and Benn?
