      Why not sign 700k guys instead of Martin, Greene, Johnston (to be unloaded) and refrain from signing Duclair, play Bellows at 3LW to avoid unloading him

      Koekkoek, Sheahan, MDC can replace those guys

      Around 3M saved by that... exactly the LK cap hit

      I think signing martin is strictly a fan pleasing/locker room move. Greene plays very well with our young guy Dobson which would be great for his development. Johnston I think is still on a contract, not sure if they would trade him but he plays a role of Martin and is younger. I agree though that Martin probably shouldn't come back unless he takes 700-800k and signing duclair isn't important but if we sign everyone and have the cap then ig why not.
