That D core is just awful IMO. Butcher and PK can't defent at all and Murray isn't a top pairing d-man.

The first line gets bullied, the fourth line gets bullied, top pairing D gets bullied, etc, etc. It's like the Devils are trying to be the Maple Leafs but without all the talent.

The Devils need some grit man, even the Leafs went out and got Bogosian and Simmonds. Plus TBL brought in my physical guys to balance out the skill (i.e. Bogosian, Maroon, Goodrow, Coleman, and Schenn).

I'm not saying I need Janseen, Rupp, and Luc-Lebold back, but get some guys that can hit, play defense, and play on the penalty kill.

Just because we are in 2020 doesn't mean you don't have to play physical. You're telling me they can go out and score goals against hedman and cernak or even mcdougnah and cernak. They need a driving force on that line.

They have a ton of it, the issue is they are in the pipeline and not quite ready yet lol. The last couple of drafts they've been looking for thiccc boys and kids who play heavy.

Yep, the only ones I see having a shot this season are Jacobs, Bastian, and Mcleod. But hopefully Bahl, Foote, and Mukhamadulin have good AHL/KHL seasons.
