I really like that deal for both sides ultimately

Chicago commits to a full rebuild properly (dead salary + young assets) and Buffalo hopes they can win a cup this year much like 04 Bolts or 06 Canes did

High scoring F a patchwork D and a solid goalie catching fire in the playoffs... hey, there's a chance

Bowman accepts in a heartbeat. This is most realistic Kane to Buffalo trade proposal I've seen so far.

Does Chicago have enough cap space to retain half of Kane and take on Okposo?

Thanks bud. I was curious to see what it’d look like and thought it could help both sides. Turns Buffalo into a high powered offense and honestly in the playoffs all you need to do is get hot at the right time and go on a run.

Thanks. I wasn’t sure how the reception to it would be, but I genuinely thought this was a fair deal for both sides.

No, thank you! This gives me hope for future ACGMs. These days I usually just look through these posts as a form of hockey schadenfreude

The way I see it is the Sabres are paying a lot to get Kane. But they are also replacing Okposo with Kane and saving 750,000.

Hawks are getting a lot, but also essentially paying Okposo 11.25M for three years lol

Pretty much. I figured that’s the only way for it to work cap wise

Love the idea of Kane, but thats ALOT to give up. Basically 6 firsts are in there. this team still needs alot of work. D, goaltending, and depth are very questionable.

Understandable but the way to look at it is that you are turning Okposo at 6M into Kane at 5.25M. So you are saving 750K and turning a cap dump into a top 15 player.
