Please rationalize why CAR considers this for a second?

Ah, yes, exactly what Carolina is looking to do with the guy they paid a 1st for last year - retain 2 million to get a few picks and low end roster players.

I don’t think Carolina retains $2M, eats the Moore cap dump, takes on Ritchie (who’s more less a dump to the Bruins), just for Clifton and a couple 2nds. Boston has the cap space to at the very least not need retention.

Studnicka won’t see 4th line minutes, top 9 at the very least for development purposes

bruins fans slowly starting to realize that their prospect pool is bad and they cant offer anyone of value without hurting their team, only ones with true value are current players

Pretty much. Studnicka is gonna be a full time NHL guy so our farm system is dry at this point lol

Very wrong actually
As it stands none of their Top prospects are on the roster (assuming health) - Pastrnak and Marchand injuries may effect that.
Frederic and Zboril are most likely to start in NHL because of Roles. No real spots for the others, at least not in their projected roles.

Top prospects:
1) Studnicka
2) Vaakanianan
3) Beecher
4) Frederic
5) Lauko
6) Zboril

Plus you have Lauzon who seems to have already cracked the team.

top three on that list are just about as good as any other team can put together.

my main point is the prospect pool isnt that good and they dont hold as much value, saw a few rankings where it was 30-31 in the nhl

Not sure I agree with that Studnicka and Vaakaninan are very highly touted. Beecher as well.

Oh is that what that is? It’s really bad for CAR, so try again.

Where do you see Studnicka as a full time NHL guy this year?
63 37 88
74 46 28
10 13 Smith

-------

he isn't playing 4th line. He isn't playing the left side. Bjork would have to really regress and they move Kase of Smith to the left side.

He will get some time because of injuries, but the Bruins will keep him down to get top line minutes and situation play in AHL as much as they can.
