I like it. I hope Lehtonen can make an impact on the right side, because that’d be rad.

1. The Bruins may not even make the playoffs as their best LHD right now is Grezlyk and Marchand+Pastrnak may miss the first part of the season due to recovering from surgery

2. You cannot judge a playoff performance before the season has even begun

you: roster turnover, we have added players, I am excited

me, an intellectual: yes but players who are no longer on the team cost you playoff success in the past therefore haha this team is bad

Mikheyev didn't sign and come out and say that he took less just to play 4th line. He's a middle 6 guy.

Thornton can't keep up in the league anymore. I'd be shocked to see him more than 4th line and PP minutes.

Dubas already came out and said Dermott was playing the right side, chances are he starts off beside Muzzin. Can't call Lehtonen the teams "4th best d-man" when he hasn't played a game in North America.

Vesey didn't sign here to play AHL time. He's a veteran with grit and played with Kerfoot in college. Look for them to start off on the 3rd line together.

With all the moves the team has made, it'd be incredibly shocking to see Robertson make the team outta camp. Unless there's a taxi squad, he'll start somewhere else. Either OHL if there's a season, AHL if there is no OHL, or loaned over to a European team of OHL and AHL aren't starting a season.

I get this is just an ideal lineup but it needs some work and there's quite a bit of flaws to it

Love how you guys take these things personally. You haven't won a single round since 2004. Better laugh than cry. No?

Barabanov could say the same thing and I think his game will need more protecting whereas you can trust the 4th line as constructed to play in the D zone. Thornton had a respectable year with awful linemates. He will bounce back if they can find a match for him. I almost had Hyman on his wing and am still curious how that would look given Zach's propensity to retrieve pucks and Thornton's ability to dish them. Perhaps Robrtson on the left and shift Mik beside AM? I'm confident in this regime's willingness to experiment so I'm sure something feasible will materialize.

We're almost certainly seeing a non-cap taxi squad. If we don't, they'll likely still run a short roster to accumulate cap space.

Barabanov signed to prove he could play in the league. They'll take the same approach with him as they did with Mikheyev and start him in the bottom 6 to see what he has. He's never been a gifted scorer anyways so there's a slim chance he even cracks the 2nd line. Mikheyev has the all around game to play in the top 6.

Thornton is slow. He's not gonna get faster with age. He's a PP specialist, not a line carrier.

Again, with all the moves they've made they seem to have made it clear that Robertson won't play. Unless there's a taxi squad, he doesn't have a place and he needs to get as much ice time as he can to develop, that won't come in the NHL.

Yes this management has shown the willingness to experiment, but this year that's coming by adding guys with experience and grit opposed to the analytical approach they had before. The writing just seems to be on the wall for that

What's there to chirp? They won and they win more than Toronto.
