Man how the **** did I predict this, I said Dermott would either take his QA or sign a benning deal and he did option 1

Overall its good and he can earn a better payday next season when Holl goes to seattle

Took the qualifying offer. Gets him into arbitration next year and helps out the team in the short-term.

Also means that they don't need to move him or Holl or whoever this offseason and can worry about it next offseason.

It’s player friendly deal. Team friendly would have been signing two years for a slight raise. Not a huge deal. Bogo and Holl leave and he can have their money.

Engvall maybe, looks like he may be moved up and down this season. People will see his cap hit and the 175k to bury him and try to move him.

Well to be fair I'd much rather take one of Brodie/Muzzin or Dermott if I were Seattle. All of them are more valuable and at least one of them is left unprotected.
