I don't think AL has a spot on the team. I mean Canada has too many good players, and they're better players than him. Some players, like Toews, Weber, bergeron, MAF will also be on the team, because they're superb leaders. Team Canada always values that.

Not advocating he should be there but he's at least in the conversation. If he had any supporting cast I'm sure he'd be regarded as highly as Pietrangelo, if not more so.

Jared Spurgeon, Ryan Ellis, Jake Muzzin and Aaron Ekblad are all way better options
