I think holl and a third for next years 2nd from Detroit is a happy medium from both our trades #letscompromise

Why? He's cheap, he has term, they don't need to clear his cap hit, and he played well in their top 4 last year... It doesn't make sense for them to give him away.

If Det needs Holl, they could do that.

Depends on Det's side though. Reasonable Toronto people know that The Dermott signing means Holl has to go at some point. I just have to ignore the people on here sometimes.

They want Sandin to play and they want cap space if they make a run for a D at the deadline so they are certainly looking at moving out Holl. This is a fact.

Detroit doesn't need Holl. They are pretty much set down the right side of their defense.

I suppose this could also be an Ottawa trade. Maybe Anaheim if they decide to move Manson also.

I don't think Holl is very attractive to teams that are rebuilding. He would be good player for a team looking for a little defensive depth entering the playoffs. At the TDL is where you would get the best return.

I think Tor would also be looking for a second pair Rd upgrade at the deadline so it would be weird to try and move Holl for a better Holl at the same time. Which is why I didn't pitch that. But idk what the interest is in finding the best value. I think they kinda want to have easy decisions to let Lehtonen play now. All depends on who gets moved around to make the cap work now.
