It's just that the league is generally pretty good at sussing out players who are solid but look great one year due to situation like Strome with Panarin

I wouldnt call Monahan a bonafide number one but hes a top 6 center, I have no idea who Petrovic is but the return being Strome and Johnson is sad.

NYR totally win the trade, who knows CGY might actually make it though. They're desperate and could think Strome is better than he really is.
