My TOR Roster Outcome 2nd option

Created by: jchafe77
Team: 2020-21 Toronto Maple Leafs
Initial Creation Date: Oct. 25, 2020
Published: Oct. 25, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Travis Konecny for William Nylander is the big trade in this second scenario. Probably not ideal and I don't see Philadelphia making this move very much though I would like it, but I consider it a bold move and something to talk and think about.

So you want to repeat the Hutch backup scenario? I think you need Campbell to ease the job of Freddy so he stays fresh. Also, next year, I believe their plan was for Soupy to take over the crease. Dell won’t be that guy.

Why would Detroit want Campbell when they already have Bernier and Greiss?

Just sign Coleman in the off-season -- I doubt TBL can re-sign him which means he'll walk to FA. Trade Kerfoot and give that money to Coleman, but you're not getting a 1st for Kerfoot...

I don’t think LA will trade there first as likely a top 5 pick. I do like the Nylander trade I think that has value for both teams.

Detroit already has 2 goalies and we dont need coleman and we dont need Hartman since we have Robertson who is on his ELC and is cheaper.

Los Angeles wouldn't consider that trade for five nanoseconds because we don't need Kerfoot (because we have Iafallo and Kempe) or Holl (because we have Walker and Roy), both of whom we'd have to expose in the expansion draft anyway.

Neither of your options do ANYTHING to help improve the Leafs roster and none of the deals are likely even considered by the Leafs,ne remind the teams you have the Leafs dealing with. The o Ly thing accomplished in both your scenarios is a few million in cap space freed up. "Yay"! Not relevant now... Not important moving forward as by the time many of the core players contracts expire after the flat cap is a thing of the past. SMH at both your scenarios, nearly to the point of breaking my neck. 🤪
