I would think that NYI would have traded Boychuk over Toews if Boychuk's contract was remotely movable.

Originally sounded like toews trade was a lot of the difference between his ask and the teams valuation with arbitration coming up regardless they would’ve needed to move more cap anyways clearly so I don’t think they’re related

Before Covid teams we're under the impression that the cap was going to rise. It was going to.

I agree. The time for cap dumping has mostly come and gone.

I think it's about on-hand cash and expected revenue just as much as it is about present day cap space. Teams just don't want to pay the money, even with the assets coming their way.

I wish OTT would do both of those.

I don't think Boychuk is an option with OTT D so clogged already, but I think the move for Uncle Leo would be terrific
