except Crosby and Mcdavid had 100 point seasons when they didnt have those players, and even when they did have RNH and Malkin they did not play with them singificantly. This linemate stuff is just excuses. Eichel is very good. He is just not Crosby or McDavid good. He's not Mackinnon or Point good. He is not even Matthews good.

people who spell it "Sabers" scare me first off and i'm FULLY aware eichel is elite. he's a superstar. it doesn't matter how well he can "pull a team" it matters about the amount of skill the player has. eichel has an insane amount of skill but as a sabres fan i can confidently say crosby has more skill than jack. will jack be better than crosby in the years to come? absolutely. but he's not yet. and if you're asking who eichel has...don't forget about reinhart, olofsson, cozens, and hall

i mean, he's a significantly worse goal scorer, he's worse defensively and about as good a playmaker. Ice cold or not it's true.

yes matthews is the better goal scorer i can completely agree with that but i simply cannot agree with your statements about matthews being better defensively and being a better playmaker. but obviously you being a leafs fan and me being a sabres fan we're going to disagree every single time ahahah!!!!

I am evaluating on a past 3 year window because that is where most of the stats of the centers listed above are listed at. How many of these teammates of Eichel are consistent 60+ point players. They are decent not great and you can not count Hall because he has not played a game with Hall yet. For example look at Tavares he was with the isles and only had two 80+ point seasons then went to the Leafs and now is in the upper bracket of centers in the league going back to a point per game pace.

He played center when he was with McDavid, you need to watch the oilers once in a while. he had double the faceoffs as McDavid 2 years ago while "Not playing center"

Faceoffs does not mean playing center. Lots of wingers take draws then play wing

Nope. Only 1 or 2 guys do that consistently. Giroux takes more faceoffs than Couterier, and JT Miller takes more faceoffs than Pettersson. (Miller actually played center some of the time, so I'm not sure it counts.)

Yes, but Crosby is older. For their Careers, yes of course. Give McDavid time. Right now, McDavid is the best player in Hockey
