I guess you can blame him for dal colle becoming a bottom 6 grinder type. Ho-sang produced in the AHL + NHL, not sure why he didn’t make the team out of camp in October.

Bellows went from almost making the team out of camp when lou/trotz first joined the org. to putting up 19 pts in 72 games because Thompson forced him to focus on his play away from the puck. He needs to give the prospects more offensive freedom.

In some cases yes, but forcing prospects to get rid of their creativity and focus on playing defense the entire game isn’t the way to develop an offensive minded prospect.

Look at carter verhaeghe - was up and down going from the ECHL to Bridgeport. He gets traded to the lightning and now he’s a fringe 2nd line winger.

Verhaeghe is a competent NHLer but he’s definitely not a fringe 2nd liner. I’d say 3rd at best

I’d say if there’s a common denominator for the same repeated misfortune, that’s at least a desire for an explanation and at most an attempt to provide that explanation, not an excuse.

TBL are pretty much an all star team , which is why he was a healthy scratch during the playoffs, but he’s still a high end 3rd liner, low end 2nd line forward. He was in the 85th percentile for goals per 60 min this season and he’s above average defensively

It WILL happen if Wahlstrom is given any AHL time. If Wahlstrom makes the roster out of camp, then he might develop okay.

I guess we’ll see w Florida now, if he’s got an opportunity anywhere it’s there

What’s funny about wahlstrom getting sent back to Bridgeport is he was the only one on his line that was above average in all defensive metrics - he was sent down to work on his play away from the puck lol
