For Shane Wright it might be worth it though, could be the best drafted player since McDavid, I kinda see him being in the same tier as MacKinnon.

I’d rather try and push for playoffs this upcoming season then drain the roster the next year for Wright. But I don’t think we should tank regardless. 1OA never goes to small markets.

I mean Edmonton literally got 1st overall 4 times so it certainly does go to small markets, but yeah I agree tanking would be a bad idea teams always seem to pay for it at least for a while.

I wouldn’t really considering them small market. Gretzky’s team more of.

Meh the Ducks and Oilers are pretty close in terms of market value less than 100 mill between the two.

Definitely would be a dream. I wouldn’t mind the Rangers lucking out that year on the lottery. We’d be set if it happened. Man our team would be scary. Well one can dream right. At least I can make it a reality in NHL 23.
