Description

It's just from some rumor site with no real source but I just wanted to see what it looked like. It didn't cite a 2nd rounder but it said picks attached. I guess cause Nashville was trying to court Hall but it didn't pan out. Stamkos is a good consolation prize. They have 12 mil in cap and with this trade they still have like 6 mil left to fill their last two roster spots.

If this is done, we try to move Jarnkrok cause we don't really need him and he's expensive for a 4th liner. We have Mitchell Stephens ready to take the 4C spot and now we can keep Couburn as a scratch.

Doubt Stamkos would waive tho. It's probably going to be the cap circumvention thing a someone posted about on here where Stamkos goes on LTIR at the start of training camp, or Brisebois' got a couple (or one) trades that are pending on where Hoffman and Duclair sign to move Johnson

Stamkos injury complicates things and most likely a LTIR for a shortened regular season until playoffs ..

The one who looks great for Nashville is Killorn .. much to my chagrin .. particularly if Hoffman goes elsewhere.. Duclair is no Killorn and even Hoffman is not that far above Killorn given the intangibles.... Killorn could get a 2nd but probably not enough draw to bundle with Tampas 2 problems .. TJ and Gourde

Nashville already boughtout Turris at 4 years $24 million, The very last thing Nashville needs is a opt injured Stamkos making $34 million over 4 more season and Johnson making $20 million over 4 more seasons. Nashville declines rather easily.

That's alot for Nashville to pay for an injured albeit great player and a cap dump. Getting ~40G in Stamkos while trading out ~30G in Arvidsson doesn't really help the goal scoring situation that much for Nashville either. I would think they'd be looking to add onto the team instead of subtracting.

Not to mention this puts TBL in a position where they have to pick who to protect on defense with Hedmen (NMC), McDonagh, Foote, Cernak, and Fabbro (if added) all needing protected/exposed.

Stamkos most likely won't be on LTIR before the season and producing a PPG, but will be on Covid for more than 2 weeks
