Been taking a step back thinking about buyouts, waive, trade dumps etc. In this era of a flat cap .. which will last for years .. getting rid of bad contracts and eating/saving 50% maybe a GREAT strategy .. Nashville example with Turris ... for Tampa the team "saves/eats" $5M a year to dump TJ and Gourde . so for next several years.. Tampa plays Volkov Stephens Barre Maroon and Paquette for around that $5M .. ask yourself.. what is better move? .. helps frees cap room for RFAs. ALSO by doing this you not giving away draft picks or prospects..
MORE I think as a GM .. I would dump/eat my bad contrcats ASAP
