You should ask for Kuch and Point with all those lottery picks

Very roughly sketched brainstorm kinda post here

The key is to trick Brisebois into thinking he's getting picks from you around 5th / 35th overall and then immediately build the team deceptively into a 15th overall team (which this team almost is) right away using underrated players and clever strategies

Every year improving due to prospects coming up

Eriksson is still useful and Ghost is underrated with Dekeyser likely not playing much due to chronic back issues, Subban/Ghost likely just had down years

Greiss Ingram very likely a league average duo

I don't think this team is even close to 15th OA...the bottom 6 is brutal, the goaltending is questionable, and having Ghost and PK in the top 4 is asking for trouble.

"prospects coming up" ?..... Raymond and Seider.... Detroit doesn't have a lot of quality prospects in the system..

also, I really don't think NJ is treating Subban like a cap dump, it was a bad year on a very bad team, plus they have $17M in cap room to round out the bottom half of their roster, so, very do-able without having to move him.

the concept is interesting, and 2021 is supposed to potentially be one of the deepest drafts ever, Honestly, Yzerman would be better off with 4x 1st rd picks to expedite the rebuild rather than getting some good players to be a mid-pack team, but have no 1st or 2nd rd picks for 3 years stalling said rebuild IMO.

laugh laugh The Tampa trade is a royal joke, Cernak, Cirelli and Sergachev aren't worth 5 1st round picks plus 7 2nd round picks need to lay off the crack here. Bernier is worth more then a 7th round pick

I'd hardly call giving up 4 top 5 picks plus several good 2nd round picks to Tampa, Pulling a fast one on his old team. This hurts Detroit in the long run not help.

Devils trade has to be a joke. why on earth would they give you a 1st next year likely to be in the top 10 to take Subban's contract? they have a boatload of cap space and are still rebuilding...

Vancouver appreciates the efforts in wanting to help us dump Eriksson, but a 1st and a 2nd is too rich.

Canucks decline. Not giving that much away when Loui can stay for nothing
