The crazy thing about it all, is those contracts are on the low side in my opinion. Tampa is in by far the worst cap situation in the league.

but like how long are those teams waiting for to sign their RFAs: Sergachev, Cirelli, Barzal, Dubois etc

Ya, I don't know why it's taking so long.

I think teams like Ottawa and NJ are going to try squeezing more out of those deals. That's what's going to make this difficult for Tampa, the teams with cap space don't have to do the deals unless they are thrilled with the return.

I think it's fair to imply that with his injury situation and their cap quagmire that a Stamkos return would be underwhelming but I think it may boomerang a bit

"Dallas are offering me [that ^] for Stamkos, if you can improve we'll consider sending him to you... " etc.

Like 10 teams with cap space in a weird bidding war

I laugh at all this Tampa bashing/jealousy .. we just dominated the Cup .. not a Game 7 to be found .. without Stamkos .. our 5th or so best player. We do have issue due to 3 very good RFAs .. which 2 of them were acquired in trades and 1 a homegrown 4th rounder .. LOL .. we got 2 bad contrcats .. TJ and Gourde .. at end of day we will eat draft picks prospects or some cash to get rid of them .. and I laugh harder if people think NTCs matter in this Flat Cap world

Doesn't change fact we should win at least 2 more Cups in next 5 years under any scenario
