Hamilton at least gets the Pietrangelo deal, And Laine gets $1 mil to $2 mil per more per season.

Pietrangelo was a captain of a Cup team, Hamilton was never, its only half a mil difference anyways....Laine will not get 9-10M+ in a covid economy...so I doubt it

Perhaps Laine takes a 2-3 year deal @ $8.5 mil then cashes in when this Covid crisis is over.

Interesting team. I like it. Imagine if Seattle beats Winnipeg in the Conference Finals because they got Bobrovsky

Remember Laine has arbitration rights, so he could get money and term

Yes this is something they should do if they're serious about trying to win a cup!

If Laine or Hamilton need more money grind some out of Stastny and even Copp if necessary.

Depending on the length of this coming season, If Laine lights it up and goes to arbitration next summer. I could easily see him getting the $9 mil per range.

I could see Him asking for 14 mil for 8 years

That's what I was thinking. SIgn Stastny to a 2 year deal worth 3 million and move on from Copp (if you have to). There are so many decent depth options out there for 1-2 million.

Exactly!! Copp really isn't anything special or hard to replace, I really hope this organization understands it's far more important to pay your stars and the guys that put both pucks in the net and butts in the seats like Laine then it is to pay a depth player, I like Copp but it's WAY easier to find a cheaper yet serviceable depth player then it is a guy who consistently scores 30+ goals a year.

I really don't think the market is going to improve very much for free agents, if they needed to walk from Copp (or deal him to Seattle) there'll be plenty of decent UFA's looking for a job next offseason, could easily find a cheap UFA to replace Copp.
