I’d hope you’re joking.....

Just look at the stats, they don’t lie. Burakovsky is 3 years older, played more games and has less points. He’s only broken 40 pts once in his career. Laine also brings a more physical game, along with a developing defensive game. While I do think that this deal isn’t ridiculously far off, it would have to be a sever overpay considering Colorado is a division rival. Think Newhook + Girard + 2021 or 2022 1st.

Get real the AVs are in no position to offer Laine $9.5 mil per plus give big money to Landeskog and Makar You're our looking at a combined $26 million for Laine, Landeskog and Makar rather easily.

Slight exaggeration, but not far off. Last yr, when given real TOI + linemates, Bura was a 50pt player. In seasons past he wasn't given similar opportunities. Laine has shown to be a solid 60pt guy. The Jets already provide him with talented linemates, so not sure you'd see a big difference in production by switching teams. Ignoring division, I'd say Bura + 2nd is accurate value for Laine.

If laine goes to COL he’d get put with Mackinnon and Rantanen. Laine has had 1 good center for a whole season and that was his rookie year with scheifele. In which he scored 64 pts in 73gp. That’s the only year he was put with a good C and he’s a way better player now. If he played with mackinnon he’d score 45 goals and have 50 assists lol. The difference between burakovsky and laine is a large amount. There is no way burakovsky + 2nd is near enough for laine.

Lol. Burakovsky is 25 and a career 40 point player while Laine is 22 and a career 66 point player. Yeah, they're really close in value.sarcasm grin tears of joy
