Interesting contract when you have Makar and Landeskog up next year. Looks like they'll buy out Johnson if they can't get Seattle to take on that contract

Does this mean you are basically letting Seattle pick between Devon and Graves? (Johnson NTC, girard, makar protected).
Pretty much makes him Seattle trade bait.

I'm cautiously optimistic for the AVEs w/ regards to Toews. We can't underestimate just how different these teams schemes are. Trotz changed the Isles identity drastically with much of the same players...going from last place in the Jennings to 1st and 5th respectively. COL doesn't play like NYI at all. I'm traditionally worried about players changing schemes from having success in one...to any other one, but the Aves are very talented and so is Toews. Not an expensive contract. It's a flat cap too. We'll see.

A NTC does not mean the player is automatically protected at expansion draft, only a NMC is.

That means they could expose Johnson to Seattle.

Steal. Him and Makar can make a dangerous pair. This could make Graves Expendable down the line with Byram coming in soon. He is worth so much more Sakic is easily the best gm in the league

overpayed???? lmao im sorry but that better be a joke. He has been solid for a while and people havent noticed. He is truly worth approx 6-7 mill (actually 9 but you want to underpay underrated players) so this is very good dollar value.
