Description

1. upgrade 3C, move gaudette to wing
2. trade for Cernak to avoid the 5 year max on offer sheets, then sign 3.5 x 7 (same contract as an offersheet costs a first and a third)
3. dump beagle, roussel... not eriksson: eriksson has $1 million remaining after signing bonuses next offseason. bury him in the minors and he will mutually terminate and get a min salary 1-2 year deal to kill penalties with any other team
4. hoglander, podkolzin, juolevi all take a crack at the roster
5. schmidt/cernak/juolevi protected and likely rafferty/macewan/lind/holtby taken by seattle
6. lots of cap flexibility with expiring contracts to sign hughes/pettersson and add cheap middle 6 pieces around them

This is all really nifty (good insight on the Eriksson contract there) but like... nooooooooo Christoffer Ehn... he's a much closer to an ECHLer than an NHLer
