it doesn't seem like the rangers are going to make any more moves this offseason and i fail to see how they made any improvements to the roster, other than having the first overall pick

Result of cap and bad timing, like everybody else, besides, we are way ahead of schedule. In a perfect world we could shed Smith, sell Strome & Kreiders cap to pick up a 2C & 1LD, but the reality is our great kid cupboard is still lacking depth. That lack of depth means a lack in trading chips and unfortunately we've been pushing the kids into the lineup too quickly.

Rangers are fine. I’m actually happy no big moves were made. This year needs to be about developing our young guys. If we make the playoffs, great, if we miss, another chance at the lottery. Now when it comes to next season (2021-2022), that’s where we can start contending for the cup.

13M in buyouts.... flat cap.... loads of youth that need to slowly be cycled into the line up due to bonuses and just needed a slow progression of “season and tweak” for the roster. Just because you can blow up a roster to rebuild in 1 season doesn’t mean you can build a cup contender in 1 season. If we sell the farm for a star player to hopefully win a cup in 2 years then we sure as hell better win because if we don’t it’ll be a 5 yr program to rebuild again. This would be completely idiotic so thank your lucky stars that JG isn’t doing this... Next season we will have loads of money to resign shesty to a decent bridge and none of the others will be big $ so there’s a chunk of change to address a need.

i think its that point now where prospects can get moved now that the pool is full again not all of them are gonna crack the lineup

i would hope that they make the playoffs this coming season because 21-22 seems like a big year

i agree, sadly the big extension to kreider seems like theyre committed but strome could be a good guy to move especially after the year he had
