Ho-Sang

Description
Just wishing the guy would get a legit shot in the NHL.
Not sure if the Isles are going to give him the ice time or not. Sharks could give him plenty of minutes, that's for sure. Would love to see him actually get going on an NHL career. Perhaps the $700k cap hit might make teams more inclined to trade for him given the current cap situation. Not sure exactly what the trade value is for him at the moment.

Well it’s definitely not multiple pieces, or anything as good as a 3rd lol

Trust me lol, we want to see him get a shot too. He's ready, there's no doubt. They gave him a QO when they had every reason to cut him lose, so I really hope this is the year he finally gets a shot. Otherwise, hopefully he ends up somewhere and kills it, no way SJS has to even give up that much probably

I think you could get away with a True for Ho-Sang swap 1 for 1 and the Isles would probably still win that trade.

Pretty sure you won't need to give up anything for him. He's not going to make the Isles' opening night roster, so he'll be subjected to waivers after training camp. San Jose gets the third waiver claim, so unless Detroit or Ottawa decide they want him, he goes to SJ for free.

Guessing Yzerman is smart enough to take him

As a former young talented hotshot himself who was deemed immature & selfish early in his NHL career he'll appreciate what Ho-Sang is having to endure

And how a gifted player can develop over time

In the 80s they'd have laughed if you told them Yzerman would have won a selke later on

Not saying Ho-Sang does exactly that but no question he'll mature in his late 20s in various ways and the 'issues' at the moment are way overstated

Not sure why anyone would give up any value for Ho-Sang, but the Islanders say yes and run.

I really hope he gets a shot because he is very talented. I'm just not sure he'll play a true 2-way game to keep him in a lineup under Trotz. And, I still think he should be 66.
