the 2 best player are coming from Calgary... so giving 2 pieces for one won't help Calgary.

Take out the Flames. Huge pass.

No interest in DeAngelo.
No interest in Strome.
No interest in trading Monahan unless it's to get an upgrade.
No interest in moving Hanifin until Valimaki proves himself.

Should. But won't. The management and ownership group believes they are are within their "window to win." They aren't (not even kind of close) but that's besides the point. Trading for futures isn't something the Flames are interested in unless it involves freeing up cap space to acquire an upgrade in a corresponding move which is becoming increasingly unlikely given where most teams are in their various cap situations.
