Nope. We need guys that are good at defence with Draisaitl and McDavid. Not Ovechkin. He would be nice to see on the PP unit, or when they are in the offensive end, but defensively that would be a nightmare.

Yeah, I hear it’s severe arthritis in his shoulder, which won’t ever go away. I think he’s going to take this season off, rehab it and maybe have surgery, though It wouldn’t be guaranteed to work and may actually make things worse.

he's not bad defensively and doesn't have to play 3rd pairing and I don't see who would want chiasson

I could see Edmonton bringing Larsson back but at no where near that term or money with Bear and Bouchard if he’s ready for top 4 mins next yr we’ll need a physical D like Larsson on the right side and to kill penalties as Bouchard won’t likely see PK mins early in his career
